FAQ
What is a Unix timestamp?
The number of seconds since 1 January 1970 (UTC). Many languages and APIs return milliseconds, which is 13 digits.
How do I tell seconds from milliseconds?
Usually by digit count: 10 digits is seconds and 13 is milliseconds. The tool guesses automatically and you can override the unit.
